I like fish.
It tastes rather good to me. I also have goldfish as pets, though. So I feel only a little bit guilty as I watch my fish glub away in their tank.
I found this recipe for salmon panko cakes with orange ginger aioli in my local free Torontonian newspaper, metro. It was such a funny sounding mouthful and sounded so fancy. So I made it and I was glad.
Wow it looks so yummy! I will try this over the weekend! I love the salmon cake, it looks so stunning :)
Looks tasty!
Metro still has recipes? I haven’t seen too many since they revamped themselves, though I usually head straight for the crosswords, so maybe that’s why =P.
It looks scrumptious, love.

Wanna go to the AGO on one of their free days to see that theatre exhibit?

I like fish too :D
LOL&girlygiggles @ shera :P
and yeaah, these salmon cake things were goood, and the flavoured mayo was nice with it, too. the mayo also tasted good with roasted potatoes…>:D
whoops, i talked to you.
Your salmon cakes look just like the picture on the recipe.
You should eat the salmon cakes away from the goldfish so that you don’t break their tiny little hearts.
great cakes, orange ginger ailoi what a fab combo, thanks for the link…and your pics…drool

Tes: I hope that you enjoyed them! When I made them, instead of using a non existent food processor, my mom took her meat cleaver to ground the salmon up–I enjoy watching her use the multi-purpose cleaver.
movitabeaucoup: It definitely was ;]
Kurious Kitteh: Haha, yeah, Metro has a recipe in each issue now. They always come with a little blurb on the health benefits of a specified food as well, toohoo.
Shera: HAHA! Fish is good stuff.
nina: Pssst. Make me some roasted potatoes. No, make that some baked fries. Mmm. I might go wake you up now so we can bake some.
Mimi: I think that this may be the first thing that I’ve made that actually looks like the original–I nearly cried. Awww, yes, I do not want to break their (now, there’s only one) tiny little hearts. I will eat far away.
sweetlife: Har har, mayo never fails eh? Although I do know people who don’t like it. I wonder if they’d like homemade mayo? Yum.
wow they look so tasty! And orange and orange and ginger ailoli! My mouth is literally watering now :)
Brie: Haha! My mouth is also watering when remembering how good these tasted. Salmon is such a pretty pinkish colour, that when I finished cooking with it…it is now such a pretty orangey colour.
Thank you for your lovely comment on my blog. This dish looks fabulous. I have been hankering for some fish lately. :)
Saveur: :D Fish is awesome. I want some now too.
